Did you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month? At Cellini, this is a cause that is very near to our hearts as we have affected by this awful disease too many times. And so, every October for the past six years we have partnered with the wonderful people at Seymour Pink to help raise awareness and to help fund the amazing work that they are doing within the breast cancer community, to help those battling this terrible diagnosis.
On Thursday, October 17th from 4PM - 8PM we will host a fundraiser in our Orange, CT showroom. It's always a lovely evening filled with good food, good drinks, and lots of great opportunities for you to show your support! We are so fortunate to be a part of an amazingly community of small businesses who graciously donate goods & services every year to be raffled off at our 'Chinese Auction'. We also doante a high-valued custom piece of jewelry designed by Jeannie, who is a survivor herself, to be auctioned off. This years' piece is called 'The Jennie' in honor of our mom/grandmother, another strong & amazing woman who sadly lost her own battle with breast cancer earlier this year. This gorgeous bracelet features the breast cancer ribbon (of course) in 14-karat, yellow, white, and rose gold and pink sapphires. It is valued at $2150 and entries can be purchased at the store between now and the end of October.
In addition to the fundraiser we are also celebrating our sixth anniversary in our Orange, CT location. Every year we've marked the occasion with a big sale and this year is no different. We are marking down half of the store! You read that right...1/2 OFF, HALF THE STORE!!! There is something for everyone and at 50% off, the timing is just right to treat yourself to something special or to get a jump start on that holiday shopping list. We are also excited to announce that we will be joined by designer, Barbara Ross-Innamorati of Evocateur for a one day trunk-show on Thursday. She will bring a collection of some of her most stunning pieces that can only be described as art you wear. Look for more info on the collection and details about the trunk-show in a separate post.
